MORE ABOUT ME 
Yousef Fazea is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Sciences and Electrical Engineering, Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, USA. He received his B.E. and M.S. degrees in Information Technology and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University Utara Malaysia, Malaysia. He is a guest editor for the MDPI Quantum Report Journal and an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Reconfigurable and Embedded Systems. Dr. Fazea has published over 50 international and scientific papers, two books, four book chapters, and two patents indexed in the ISI and Scopus databases. Two of his scientific papers were chosen for the best paper award at the IEEE Symposium on Computer Applications & Industrial Electronics (ISCAIE 2017) and the International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCIS2020). In addition, he won the Bronze Medal in the Innovation Research, Invention, and Application Exhibition (I-RIA) in 2019 and the summer research award from Marshall University in 2022.

Additionally, Dr. Fazea won the 3-minute thesis competition (3MT) and was awarded as a second runner-up. He was honored by IEEE SB and CAS for his outstanding contribution toward student and alumni development in 2019. Later, he was appreciated as an excellent staff member by Inasis Grantt residential hall in 2019. Dr. Fazea is a member of IEEE and has been actively involved in IEEE activities as an executive and counselor for the IEEE UUM student branch for two consecutive terms.

Furthermore, he is a member of IAES, IAENG, and UUM-IRL and a life member of the ISOC Malaysia chapter. He is a reviewer for many prestigious and leading computer science and information technology journals. Dr. Fazea’s research includes next-generation computing and telecommunication, wireless and optical sensors applications, digital signal processing, and channel modeling using different algorithms such as DNA and Neural Networks. Future Internet D2D communication, high-computing performance, digital communication networks, high-speed networks, SDN, ICN, and network security.
